Trinity Students Celebrate Their Excellent GCSE Results

Following on from last week's record-breaking A Level results, Trinity School is equally delighted with the GCSE performance of our Year 11 students. For the last three years, Trinity School has been ranked by the DfE as “above average” for the progress achieved by students at GCSE, and the 2026 results are equally impressive. Specifically, almost 1 in 5 grades were awarded at grade 7 or better and nearly 4 in every 5 grades were awarded at grade 4 or better.

This year has also seen a significant improvement in the proportion of students securing grades 4+ and 5+ in their subjects, while an impressive proportion of students secured grades 8 and 9 with 124 grades at 8 or 9 across the year group, including 42 at the very top grade of 9.

Dr Pawson, Headteacher, said:

"Today is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students. Their results are a testament to the effort, resilience and ambition they have shown throughout their GCSEs. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and delighted to see their hard work rewarded. We wish every student the very best for the next stage of their journey and look forward to seeing many of them continue their studies with us in the sixth form."
