Trinity is currently a 4 Form Entry (11-18) Christian free school academy based in Sevenoaks. We are growing to a 6 Form Entry (6FE), over the next 2 years and moved into our established building in September 2016. Our Sixth Form opened September 2018. Once at full capacity, we will have 1,140 students which includes our sixth form of 240.

Learning support Assistant

Learning Support Assistant

(7 months fixed term contract until 31st August 2022)

FTE Salary £19,723 - £20,893 per annum (actual salary £16,888.11 - £17,889.94 per annum)

37.5 hours per week, 39 weeks pa (term time plus insets)

We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work as a member of the LSA team supporting students across all subjects in groups and/or on a one to one basis.

The successful candidate will be required to assist subject teachers to meet students’ needs by working with individuals or groups of students on a planned basis, pass on information about the students gathered in other contexts to the subject teacher and work with students who have SEN, disabilities and/or health needs.  LSA’s may be required to provide personal care so candidates must be confident and comfortable with this responsibility.

You will act as an extension of the School’s pastoral system by acting as a listening ear and confidante for students and provide general support for students who are re-integrating into school following prolonged absence /change of school /exclusion.

Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred.  A positive attitude and calm manner with the ability to communicate well with others and demonstrate good organisational skills is essential. 

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children, the needs of children and child development and the ways in which children learn is essential.

Facilities Assistant/Lettings Support

FTE Salary £18,517 - £19,625 per annum

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Assistant and Lettings Support to join Trinity’s busy, dedicated facilities team.

We are looking for a Facilities Assistant/Lettings Support to cover five afternoons/evenings per week (including Sunday) Sunday to Thursday 2.30 pm to 10.30 pm (with flexibility to cover absence occasionally).

We are looking for a flexible, skilled, Facilities assistant who is hardworking, organised and enjoys a busy varied day. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in a school environment. The role will include basic plumbing, carpentry, landscaping and cleaning so experience in these sectors would be of benefit.  As part of the role you will be required to cover as Banksman during periods of absence to monitor and ensure safe movements of all buses whilst on site in the school car park.

Your role in Lettings Support will be customer facing with our hirers using the school facilities. This will involve preparing rooms that are being hired, meeting new Hirers and showing them the facilities, checking on Lettings throughout their time on site and then clearing up and preparing rooms for the next day.

You will be the kind of person who takes pride in ensuring the school is clean, tidy and a safe environment and wants to provide an outstanding customer service for students, staff and visitors. You will constantly strive to ensure that the school is immaculate. You will have good ICT skills and able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and a job ticket system confidently, although training for this will be provided.

Science Technician

The Science department at Trinity School are highly experienced with a passion to deliver practical activities to enhance the learning and outcomes of students.  We currently employ eight Science teachers and have eight fully resourced new laboratories built to high specification, which are all on the same floor.

There are six science classes in each year group in Key Stages 3, with seven science classes in Years 9, 10 and 11.  There is also one A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics class in Year 12 and Year 13.   Students have six one-hour science lessons per fortnight in Year 7 and Year 8.  In Year 9 and Year 10, students have three one-hour lessons in each of the three Science subjects per fortnight.   Likewise in Year 11, with the addition of a tenth revision lesson.  Students taking A Level science courses have nine hours of contact time each fortnight.

The successful candidate will be an individual who ideally has experience in coordinating the use and maintenance of practical science resources and facilities as well as providing assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the science curriculum.

You will be responsible for preparing resources, chemicals and other materials for class practicals, carrying out maintenance checks, arranging for repairs as necessary, coordinating and organising the inventory of equipment and stock control and undertaking stock checks.  Candidates need to be adept at liaising with equipment providers to ensure good quality provision, as well as academic staff to discuss timetables, equipment requirements and work plans.

Previous experience in a Science Technician role in a school environment is desirable but not essential.  A positive attitude and calm manner with the ability to organise, prioritise and deal with a demanding workload is vital.  You will be an excellent communicator and have a professional approach.  Candidates will be a confident and competent user of ICT (Word, Excel and Email).  There will be opportunities to attend CPDs such as attending technician meetings/conferences to enhance skills and share good practice.
