Trinity is currently a 4 Form Entry (11-18) Christian free school academy based in Sevenoaks. We are growing to a 6 Form Entry (6FE), over the next 2 years and moved into our established building in September 2016. Our Sixth Form opened September 2018. Once at full capacity, we will have 1,140 students which includes our sixth form of 240.

Learning Support Assistants – September 2019

FTE Salary £18,059 - £19,863 per annum (actual salary £15,463 - £17,007 per annum)

37.5 hours pw, 39 weeks pa (term time plus insets)

Due to the expansion of Trinity School Sevenoaks from a four form entry to a sixth form entry, we are looking to recruit a number of Learning Support Assistants to work as members of the LSA team supporting students across all subjects in groups and/or on a one to one basis.

The successful candidates will be required to assist subject teachers to meet students’ needs by working with individuals or groups of students on a planned basis, pass on information about the students gathered in other contexts to the subject teacher and work with students who have SEN, disabilities and/or health needs.  LSA’s may be required to provide personal care so candidates must be confident and comfortable with this responsibility.

You will act as an extension of the School’s pastoral system by acting as a listening ear and confidante for students and provide general support for students who are re-integrating into school following prolonged absence /change of school /exclusion.

Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred.  A positive attitude and calm manner with the ability to communicate well with others and demonstrate good organisational skills is essential. 

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children, the needs of children and child development and the ways in which children learn is essential.

We are looking to recruit a one to one Learning Support Assistant (including personal care) to work as a member of the LSA team supporting a student across all subjects in groups and/or on a one to one basis.

The successful candidate will be required to assist subject teachers to meet the student’s needs by working with the individual in groups or on a one to one basis or in whole class on a planned basis, pass on information about the student gathered in other contexts to the subject teacher and work with students who have SEN, disabilities and/or health needs. 

You will be required to provide personal care to the student including toileting in a fully equipped care suite in a sensitive and calm manner. 

Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred.  Good numeracy and literacy skills, a positive attitude, calm manner with the ability to communicate well with others and demonstrate good organisational skills is essential.  This role will include a considerable amount of moving and handling and personal care but appropriate equipment is provided.

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children, the needs of children and child development and the ways in which children learn is essential.
