We are delighted to be opening our new Sixth Form in September 2018, with the capacity to accommodate 190 students. A variety of pathways will be on offer.
The official Sixth Form Open Evening will take place in October 2017 and students at Trinity will need to submit their application form by the end of November 2017, after which time we will be offering places to external candidates. Just to be clear, Trinity students have priority subject to them handing in their application by the deadline.
We will be offering seventeen subjects, which includes nine facilitating subjects, a group of subjects that are frequently required for entry to degree courses, typically courses that run at Russell Group universities. In addition, we have a further eight subjects that are also academic and some with a creative learning.
The list of subjects is as follows:
The vast majority of students will choose three subjects plus the extended project. We will expand more fully on what this qualification is in due course but if you want to find out more please watch this video clip.
Our Sixth Form students will be encouraged to become confident, intellectually-curious, independent thinkers and life-long learners. We will help them to develop attitudes and skills that will help them make considered choices in their lives. Students will be fully supported through the UCAS (university application) process to ensure the best possible outcomes for every individual.
Students will also benefit from a bespoke careers advice programme to ensure that, whatever their future pathway, they are supported in achieving their goals.
