SHINE Girl
SHINE Girl is a pastoral programme that is delivered to Year 9 and Year 12 students by the Chaplaincy team. The course is designed to build self-confidence as well as develop a greater understanding of personal worth, strength and purpose. Over 6 weeks a key 'truth' statement is considered and unpacked through a variety of creative ways and activities. The themes by week are as follows:
Week 1: I am valuable! I am one of a kind!
Week 2: I am wonderfully made
Week 3: I have the power of choice.
Week 4: I am resilient.
Week 5: My potential is limitless
Week 6: My life has purpose. I SHINE!
The SHINE Girl students created these 6 pieces of artwork at the end of the course on a special SHINE artwork day to reaffirm the truths on the course:

The SHINE Girl course underpins Trinity's vision and ethos, in that we believe that every young person is loved and valuable to God and that He has given each one unique gifts and talents. Our vision is that every student will fulfil their God-given potential, ready to serve others and equipped to be confident leaders in society. The SHINE Girl course reaffirms Trinity's vision each week through the truth statements.
