    UCAS Statement

    Uni 1

    Supporting statement for the UCAS process;

    Established in 2013, Trinity School is a non-selective free school in Sevenoaks, Kent. The vast majority of students are from White British backgrounds and the proportion of disadvantaged students is below the national average, with 3% receiving a bursary in Y13. Due to the expansion of the school, the current Year 13 cohort has experienced a large degree of change over the course of their secondary education.  This current Y13 year group consists of 58 students. The majority of students study 3 A Levels or a combination of A Levels with BTEC or CTEC subjects.  Approximately 70% of students intend to go on into Higher education.  In 2020 and 2021 students went to university following centre-assessed grades; as such, 2022 will be the first year students sit A level exams at Trinity.

    The school went into lockdown on March 20th 2020 which affected the end of current year 13 students’ year 11 education and then again in January 2021 affecting their year 12 studies.  A mixture of live and some recorded video lessons were provided on Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams.  This facilitated face-to-face interaction with students for the periods not in school.  End of year 12 assessments were held for all subjects.
