Year 9 had a wonderful time at the Science Museum. They visited the Winton Mathematical Gallery where, among others, they explored the concepts used by Stirling prize-winning architect Zaza Hadid. She is famous for her curved designs and being involved in the London Olympics Aquatics Centre. They were also thoroughly inspired by the 100+ hands-on experiments in the Wonderlab, where they all also became rockets scientists during a practical show.
The afternoon was spent visiting the ‘Engineer your future’ gallery as well as the ‘Information Age’ and ‘Who am I?
The day was enjoyed by all, with the students being exemplary ambassadors for the school.
We are planning to run the trip again, later in the academic year, for those that were unable to come this time.
