Trinity School celebrated World Book Day on Tuesday 5th March. Activities took place throughout the day in the library including a reading breakfast, a lunchtime book quiz and a second hand book sale in aid of Book Aid International.
“Button Button” a short story by Richard Matheson was split into 5 parts and read by staff at the beginning of each lesson. Students were given a £1 world book voucher to be used in participating book shops.
Years 7, 8 and 12 were invited to come dressed in fancy dress based on a particular book-related theme with prizes being awarded for the most creative or imaginative costume. Staff also joined in the fancy dress fun with some fantastic costumes.
The Potato Character Challenge was a huge success with some fantastic entries showing originality and artistic flare.
Thank you to everyone who took part and making the day a great success. A special thank you to the Friends of Trinity School for kindly arranging and funding the supply of Sevenoaks Bookshop vouchers for the prizes for this year’s event.
