SESTBA— South East Schools Themed Book Award

Since September 2018, a group of students have been participating in SESTBA, meeting fortnightly to discuss a range of books which they have read based on the theme “Take a Stand”.  They voted for their favourite book and wrote book reviews.

On Wednesday 27th March they attended a Gala Evening at Kent College, Pembury along with other local schools participating in SESTBA.  The evening was great fun and well attended.  Students also listened to guest authors Sita Brahmachari and Matt Killen, shared pizza and interacted with other local schools.  The evening ended with the announcement of the Award winners, Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi was voted favourite book in the Young Adult Category and Orphan Monster Spy by Matt Killen was voted favourite in the Teen Fiction category.

The Library Managers would like to thank those students that took part for their exemplary behaviour and enthusiasm over the last few months.
