Sixteen students from Trinity School were delighted to be given the opportunity of starring in an Arriva Bus video called ‘How to Catch a Bus’. The aim of the video is to help alleviate the fear that some students have of starting secondary school and having to catch a bus on their own for the first time.
The following students took part in the filming:
Year 7: Brookin Dean, Helena Edmunds, Ava Francis, Grace Garrard, Thomas Harrison, George Hull, Luke McWilliams, Holly Owen, Vivienne Pearson and Jed Welland.
Year 8: Poppy Buckle and Joseph Wolney
Year 9: Ryan Braaf and Thea Peacock
Year 10: Tarminna Miah and Amelia Turner
Two cameramen, a film director and a representative from Arriva Buses spent all day filming on site and in the local area on 25th April. The students were amazing all day and proved to be wonderful ambassadors for Trinity School. Students in Key Stage 3 really enjoyed watching the finished product during their final Assembly of the academic year. The video can be found on YouTube: “How to Catch a Bus Guide”.
On September 13th 2018, a team from Arriva Buses are delivering a bus safety assembly to our new Year 7s and existing Year 8s where the video will be central to the presentation. The safety awareness will continue in the car park where the Year 7s will take part in an interactive roadshow using an Arriva double decker bus.
